Herbert's gambling site lashes out at Jos Verstappen: 'Divisive behaviour'
- Ludo van Denderen
Johnny Herbert couldn't resist. Once again, the Briton has given an interview to a betting site, and this time the former F1 driver has spoken about Jos Verstappen. According to Herbert, the relationship between him and Max Verstappen's father is fine. And if there should still be a problem, according to FlashscoreUSA, it is because of Verstappen Sr.
The article posted by the betting site states that Jos Verstappen "has locked horns with plenty of people around the sport with his divisive behaviour". According to the site, Johnny Herbert was one of those people, but the Briton still has respect for the Dutch former F1 driver.
"I don’t think we have a beef with each other. It is everyone else stirring it up around us. We both have our opinions. As far as I am concerned my relationship with Jos hasn’t changed. I like him. I have known him for a very long time. I love his sense of humour, and it is wonderful to see a father relish the enjoyment of his son’s achievements.," Herbert said.
Herbert has 'respect' for Jos Verstappen
Herbert claims to have no problem with Jos Verstappen. "I think it is the same the other way around. If we saw each other in the paddock, I am sure we’d say ‘Hi’ and shake hands. He protects his son, and I respect him for that. You’d expect him to," the Briton added.
