Verstappen expresses frustration over undriveable Red Bull: 'I'm going to crash'

Trouble for Verstappen worsens: 'I'm going to crash!'

Max Verstappen was anything but happy during the third free practice in Las Vegas. In a longer run on the medium tyre, the Dutchman complained bitterly about his RB20, stating that it was only getting worse.

After a difficult FP1 and FP2, Red Bull Racing had hopes of making a better showing on Saturday, but that does not yet seem to be the case in the third free practice session. In a run on the medium tyre, Verstappen was quick to let Gianpiero Lambiase know that his tyres were going. Not much later, things went from bad to worse.

"It's only getting worse. The car is undriveable," Verstappen expressed his frustration over the team radio. GP asked Verstappen to continue driving to collect data, but not much later Verstappen raised the alarm again: ''This is... I can't drive it. I'm going to crash. My left front [tyre] is completely f***ed." After this message, Verstappen was called to the pits.
