Horner confirms why they have 'wrong rear wing' in Las Vegas

On Friday, several news outlets reported that Red Bull Racing had accidentally taken the wrong rear wing to Las Vegas. However, GPBlog was able to report that that was not the case. Red Bull does not have a specific wing for the Las Vegas track. The same was true at Monza. Horner was able to confirm. 

Red Bull brought the correct wing 

''No, we did not forget a rear wing,'' Horner told Sky Sports. ''There is no issue with it. I don't know quite where it came from, but we don't have a specifically designed wing for very low downforce, which is basically potentially here and Monza. The money that is involved in creating that, within the cost gap, you've got to pick and choose where you're going to spend it. So, with the wing that we have, you end up trimming the wings to achieve a top speed. And that's what many, many of the teams have done."

During the third free practice session, it was clear that work had been done to the RB20's rear wing. Max Verstappen seemed happier with the car's newfound balance in his final run. Team principal Horner also thinks they are headed in the right direction, with him saying, 'We're okay. And, of course, you're running different engine modes, and the whole world looks a lot different. So, yes, we didn't forget our rear wing.''.
