While George Russell may have won the Las Vegas Grand Prix, Max Verstappen won his fourth world title. All this did was get Russell ready to fight during next year's season. He believes that Mercedes will be prepared to challenge both Red Bull and Verstappen

George Russell has tasted victory, and he wants it all. He has won two races this season and will be pushing himself next year to win more races. Any maybe even a championship?

Russell is ready to fight

After admitting that he "genuinely thought [Verstappen] probably wasn't going to win the championship," he also said that he thinks it's time Mercedes joined the fight for the world championship title. Mercedes is fourth in the World Constructors' Championship, while Russell is 6th in the World Drivers' Championship standings. Next season, he is hoping that all will change.

In a post-race interview, he said that Mercedes "just got to make sure that we get ourselves in that fight and give him a more challenging time because it's about time. I think we feel ready to try and take that challenge to the front". Russell's current teammate, Lewis Hamilton, is set to switch to Ferrari, and Russell will be attempting to fight for the 2025 championships alongside rookie Kimi Antonelli.
