Brundle full of praise for Verstappen, but 'too early to say he's the best'

Martin Brundle was full of compliments to describe Max Verstappen after he won his fourth consecutive drivers' title in Formula 1. However, he believes "it's too early to call him the greatest [driver]."
The Dutchman earned his fourth title after finishing ahead of rival Lando Norris at the Las Vegas Grand Prix, giving him an insurmountable lead of 63 points going into the final two races of the season in Qatar and Abu Dhabi.
The British analyst already explained in his column how hugely clever Max Verstappen's performance was, and despite Red Bull's RB20 not performing great every race this year, the 27-year-old Dutchman steered that same car to the world championship. For that, Brundle was full of praise, along with all of the sublime performances that we have seen from the Dutchman throughout his time in F1.
Verstappen shows "sure sign of greatness"
"They come as a winning package and mentality. Max Verstappen has largely annihilated his F1 teammates, and, like this season, he can win despite not always having the fastest car, a sure sign of greatness. He's been an integral part of Red Bull achieving a dominant status," Brundle explained to Sky Sports.
"He has fearless speed and talent to spare, and a strong head to go with it. If you're having a conversation about the greatest Formula One driver of all time, you simply have to include Max. You'll make your own minds up. For me, it's too early to call him the greatest," the 65-year-old analyst concluded.
