After his Formula 1 departure, Niels Wittich has as already found a new challenge. Namely, the German will become the new race director of the GT World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup in Jeddah.
Only two weeks have passed since Wittich departed from the Formula 1 family as race director. He mentioned that he would not have left voluntarily but nevertheless resigned.
Rui Marques replaced Wittich and made his first appearance in his new role at the Las Vegas Grand Prix. Earlier on Thursday, another FIA figure left their position. Marques's F2 and F3 replacement, Janette Tan, has left before her first race weekend. Marques will now serve in both capacities.
