Verstappen on goals this season: 'Want to know things for next year'
- Jeroen Immink
Max Verstappen has already clinched his Formula 1 title, but according to the Red Bull Racing driver, there is still plenty to drive for in the remaining two F1 races. Speaking in Qatar, Verstappen commented on his remaining goals this season.
Verstappen wants to get to know car better for 2025
The regulations will not change much in 2025, which means there is work to be done for Red Bull. Currently, Verstappen does not have the best car and the Dutchman himself knows that. "I think so. Just trying to learn more about the car. Some things we already know that we want to change for next year, but maybe we find some other things in the car that can be better for next year," Verstappen said.
"Because, of course, looking at the last races that we've had, we've not been the quickest. I don't expect that to to suddenly change here, but hopefully we can be a little bit more competitive around here with higher-speed corners, but I'm not sure," he added.
The constructors' title no longer seems attainable for Red Bull. The gap between the Austrian racing stable and McLaren is as much as 53 points. In between is Ferrari, who also had a faster car than Verstappen in the last few races.
