It's no secret that McLaren hoped to out-perform Ferrari last weekend. Unfortunately, they were unable to do that, allowing Ferrari to get closer to them in the constructors' championship.

Norris 'risked too much' at Las Vegas GP

Lando Norris is not mincing his words, he is saying exactly how he feels. He says he struggled greatly with the MCL38. When asked if there was a specific part he tried to change, he said, "All of it. As much as I could change basically but to a point that is almost undriveable and probably risking too much crashing half the time. So that's what I had to do to try and survive and have the pace almost as good as them, but again like it's like I said we have too many weaknesses in our car, and it allowed me to try and avoid some of those weaknesses but caused me to have many other problems at the same time".

The Briton continued expressing his feelings. "So it's just frustrating when you're on track, and there's nothing you can change to go a lot quicker and to get around some of those issues like the front graining that we were having a problem with. I think as soon as we didn't have the front graining, the pace was much closer to the others like the final stint"

Unfortunately, they did have that issue."But we did have the front graining, so it was tough, and the car had, at the end, I just had to drive too much on a knife edge like we kind of normally have to drive with. But it shows that whenever we had the front graining, we were just miles off. And as soon as we could fix a bit of it, which is not an easy fix, we were a little bit closer."
