The F1 season came to an early end for Dan Fallows at Aston Martin, as the team decided to relief him of his duties of being a technical director. He is now working on 'other proejcts' within the team. Mike Krack, the team principal of Aston Martin reflected on why that decision was made in Qatar.

Aston Martin have big ambitions in Formula One. Nothing less than the world title is ultimately the goal for Lawrence Stroll, the Canadian owner of the team. However, there is still a long way to go, given how the 2024 sesason turned out. Aston Martin failed to capture a single podium finish, finding themselves in the middle pack and sometimes even towards the rear.

Krack on Fallows

"The only thing that matters is the result and the performance at the end," Krack began. "And if the performance is not there, there is change. That is, I think normal in our business we are. All this is not different in any professional sport. If the performance doesn't come then the team decides to make changes, and this is the case."

What the team's structure in terms of the technical leadership will look like next season is still unknown. Enrico Cardile will join from Ferrari to become the new CTO. He also may take over some of Fallows' responsibilities. Moreover, Adrian Newey will also join the squad during the spring.
