Zak Brown was surprised by Lando Norris giving Oscar Piastri victory in the sprint race but has expressed how impressed he was by the action. Norris returned the favour following Piastri's move in Brazil. The Australian previously gave up the sprint race win to help Norris close the gap on Max Verstappen in the World Championship.

Brown praises Norris and Piastri partnership

"It did [surprise me], because actually we told him he didn't need to do that, but obviously Oscar helped him out in Brazil. These guys are great teammates, and you've got to say, because we said to him, don't worry about it, and he did it on his own, and that's great to see. He shows what a great team this," Brown said on Viaplay.

Piastri had to defend against George Russell. The Mercedes driver made several attacks to recover second place but failed. The Brit was frustrated over the team radio about how Piastri was defending.

Brown on Russell's complaints

However, Brown feels there was nothing to complain about. "I thought it was good racing. I heard on the radio he said ‘moved twice’, but it looked like he just moved once. So, it was good hard racing. George drove great, it was clean, it was good," he added.
