Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri were asked about the FIA meeting, and they both responded positively. The McLaren drivers seem happy about the meeting and about moving forward with the FIA.

Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri held the top two positions the entire race. At the last second, they swapped to allow Oscar Piastri to cross the finish line first. After the sprint, they were asked how the FIA meeting had gone.

Both drivers say that progress was made in the FIA meeting

As they placed P1 & P2, Piastri and Norris were present in the after-sprint press conference. There, they were asked how they felt about the FIA meeting. Norris said "Yeah, progress was made. It's an ongoing thing. It's not something that's finalised now, and that's it". He continued, "It's something that we're working with FIA on. So it was a good step that we had the meeting in the first place. All the drivers were on board, and I think we made progress as a sport in trying to make things fairer but also better for everyone watching"

Piastri also thought that it went well but had a little more to say about it all. "Yeah, it was a good meeting. I think any kind of discussion like that is always good in terms of building a relationship with the stewards and the race director. Like George said on Thursday, we don't need to reinvent the wheel. For the majority of situations, it's been good having these guidelines".

He then admitted that the guidelines "just need a couple of tweaks or adjustments. In racing, there's so many scenarios that you can come across and trying to write rules for every scenario is difficult, which I think we fully acknowledge as drivers, but I think we all felt that there was a couple of things that could have been tweaked to make everyone's life a little bit easier. So I think a very productive meeting and progress".
