Christian Horner was overjoyed after Max Verstappen's pole position in Qatar. The Red Bull Racing team boss said that fantastic work had been done from the factory to get Verstappen a good car just in time for qualifying.
Horner on Red Bull's quick turnaround:
"All credit to the team and the engineers and the support back at Milton Keynes," Horner said to Viaplay after Formula 1 qualifying in Qatar. "We've changed a lot of things on the car and, you know, obviously given Max a car that he's been able to go out and deliver the pole and our first official pole since Austria. so that's fantastic and a great team effort. Very pleased with that," Horner added. It's Red Bull's second pol;e in the last 16 races.
Sergio Perez managed to reach Q3 in qualifying, which would've given the Mexican some confidence. According to Horner, that, too, was due to the team behind the scenes at Red Bull. "Yeah, he got, he got the same setup changes, and you know, good to see him in Q3. An important qualifying, and it is great to be starting this race on the pole for tomorrow. So, hopefully, the changes that we've made for qualifying will also play out in the race as well." Concluded a very satisfied Horner.
