Norris Qatar GP locking up pit lane Safety Car stop and go

Some eventful laps for Lando Norris in Qatar. The Briton first said he was brake tested by Lewis Hamilton, and then tried to overtake Max Verstappen for the lead.

The Dutchman could keep his lead into Turn 1, as the two went wheel-to-wheel. Verstappen's second restart was not perfect, as he slipped exiting the final corner. The Safety Car returned immediately after, as Sergio Perez and Nico Hulkenberg both span out.

Moreover, Lando Norris received a 10-second stop-and-go penalty for not slowing down for the yellow flags that was waved for Albon's mirror, relegating him to last place.

Beforehand, as the marshals were cleaning the track, the grid had to go through the pit lane. Hamilton slowed down in front of Norris, causing the Briton to lock up both of his front tyres.

That happened as Valtteri Bottas went though Alex Albon's previously lost mirror. With debris all over the track, Carlos Sainz and Lewis Hamilton got punctures as well, causing a safety car.
