Max Verstappen talks about foul Lando Norris
Today at 19:45

Lando Norris was given an outstanding 10-second stop-and-go penalty at the Qatar GP, after he failed to slow down for double yellow flags. Max Verstappen immediately saw that, and reported it to his race engineer, Gianpiero Lambiase. The Dutchman could once again show he knows the rule book very well.

Verstappen shares his knowledge of the rules again

This season already, Verstappen showed he is very familiar with the rule book to say the least at the US and Sao Paulo Grands Prix. In Qatar, he once again pointed out immediately that Norris failed to slow down for double yellow flags after Alexander Albon's mirror flew off his Williams and was left on the track.

Verstappen himself slowed down, and noticing that Norris got closer to him, he told what happened to Gianpiero Lambiase, so the team could forward that to new race director Rui Marques.

"Well, I mean, I knew that I lifted because I saw the double yellow. And I know that, of course, if I wouldn't have lifted, it would have been investigated straight away. So you're just on it," he explained after winning the Qatar GP.

"I asked if he lifted because he had a DRS, I think from a back marker at the same time as well. And then of course, when we came out of Turn 1, I said he was a lot closer. So I just asked the team to check it. It's just a normal question. And I know of course with double yellows they're quite strict," concluded the four-time world champion.
