What is the weather forecast for the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix?
The final race of the season is upon us. The 2024 Formula 1 season will come to an epic conclusion in Abu Dhabi at the Yas Marina Circuit. Last weekend, we had warm and dry conditions in Qatar. Teams and drivers will be expecting a similar weather challenge in the Middle East this weekend.
What is the weather forecast for the 2024 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix?
A dusk-to-night race awaits us this weekend, and the conditions at the Yas Marina Circuit will pose a similar challenge to Qatar for all 10 Formula 1 teams.
According to weather.com, the temperature will be 29 degrees Celcius throughout the day on Friday. These conditions, which teams will face in the first practice session, will be the warmest of the weekend. In the evening, conditions of around 21 degrees Celcius are expected, with wind speeds of 13mph.
On Saturday, we can expect much the same. It will be 20 degrees Celcius in the evening, with just a 4% chance of rain. Teams will have to battle with high humidity throughout the weekend, however. It's expected to be 71% on Saturday evening.
On Sunday, temperatures are expected to be just one degree Celcius less than Saturday. The race is set to be run in clear 19-degree Celcius conditions, and there is once again just a 4% chance of rain for race day, with lower winds of 9mph expected.
