Häkkinen predicts tenth win in 2024 for Verstappen in Abu Dhabi
Despite issues in the middle of the season, Max Verstappen seems to have found pace in his RB20 once again as the 2024 season comes to a close. The Dutch driver has won Grand Prix in Sao Paulo and Qatar, and Mika Häkkinen expects him to do the same again in Abu Dhabi.
Max Verstappen 's record currently stands at nine wins this season after the Qatar Grand Prix. In Las Vegas, the Dutch driver already managed to cash in on his fourth world title, but he has made his desire to win in Qatar and Abu Dhabi no secret.
The Red Bull Racing driver has already taken one step towards this goal after winning the Qatar Grand Prix. This weekend, Formula 1 touches down in Abu Dhabi at a track that suits Verstappen as he has won here four times before.
Häkkinen chooses his favourite for the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix
Mika Häkkinen, a two-time F1 world champion, predicted at Unibet that Verstappen will win the race in Abu Dhabi. "Considering Max Verstappen’s fantastic wins in Sao Paulo and Qatar, and the fact he has won in Abu Dhabi for the last four years, the new World Champion will start this weekend as favourite."
With Verstappen out of the running for the Constructors' title, Häkkinen predicts a tight battle between McLaren and Ferrari. "My tip is that one Ferrari and one McLaren driver will join him on the podium, but that it will be McLaren who will emerge as World Champions."
