Isack Hadjar is competing in Max Verstappen's championship-winning car during the first free practice session at the season finale in Abu Dhabi. During the opening phase of FP1, Hadjar spun. The man who may become Formula 2 champion this weekend complained that he was struggling with stability in the corners at low speed. He also had an issue with wheel clearance, meaning that he wasn't happy with where the steering wheel sat in his car.

Hadjar will also battle for the F2 title this weekend with 2025 Sauber driver Gabriel Bortoleto. The Frenchman is battling for a seat at VCARB and will hope to prove his worth in F1 machinery once again in the post-season test in Abu Dhabi, which he will take part in.
