Verstappen jokes to F1 fans about Russell: 'He's in the other team'
Since the Qatar GP's qualifying, Max Verstappen and George Russell were not on the best of terms to say the least. When Sergio Perez and Verstappen stood on the podium, in front of the fans, and were asked a question about who they would choose for the paintball team, Russell's name did not go unmentioned either.
Verstappen jokes about the situation
When the Red Bull drivers on stage were asked which F1 driver would they choose to team up in painball with, the fans shouted: 'George!' The fans reaction made both Verstappen and Perez laugh, and the Dutchman responded by saying. "He would be on the other team. No, I'm just kidding," Verstappen told the fans.
"Honestly, of course we have our arguments. I’m sure we’ll fix it again, but it’s good to have a little break. But I'm sure we'll see each other in Monaco again, it’s all going to work out," Verstappen continued.
Perez also joined in joking about the situation. "For my team I would pick Max, especially if we are going against George (paintballing, ed.)," the Mexican said, followed by big laughter in the crowd. Verstappen concluded by saying it would be better to have teams with more drivers, suggesting a '10 v 10' battle.
