Entering the final weekend, Ferrari still have the chance to win the constructors' title against McLaren. Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz have to overcome a gap of 21 points in Abu Dhabi. The Monegasque driver revealed he nearly missed out on the final weekend.

Leclerc got food poisoning

Ahead of the final F1 weekend of the season, Leclerc had food poisoning. "It all started unfortunately last night when I got food poisoned and couldn’t sleep all the night which… I’m so tired, I just want to sleep now," the Ferrari driver told F1.com. The driver added he did not feel like driving at all on Friday morning. Later, it was also revealed that he will start the race on Sunday with 10-placed grid penalty as well.

Whether or not Leclerc could win the constructors' title with Sainz for Ferrari this weekend, for himself it was a weekend to remember. Arthur Leclerc - Charles's little brother - drove Sainz's car in FP1, making history. Never before have two brothers been drove for the same team in the same session.

"This is a dream that [has] come true today for both of us, for all of our family that travelled all the way from Monaco to see that and it was a very emotional moment. I definitely had to put the helmet on very early because I also was emotional," Leclerc said.
