McLaren are the new world champion among constructors. Zak Brown already reacted enthusiastically over the radio, but also to Viaplay after the CEO oversaw his team earn their first team title since 1998.

Asked if this was one of the best days of his life, Brown replied, "For sure. Two hours ago, it was one of the worst days of my life. For two hours, it was the most stressful day of my life. The team executed it perfectly. Lando drove brilliantly. The pit stop was great. The strategy was sound. The team is just awesome, they deserve it. So proud of everyone."

It was already clear at the start of the race that things would not come easy for McLaren after Oscar Piastri lost his second place at the start of the race after he and Max Verstappen hit each other at Turn 1.

It was McLaren's first constructors' title since 1998, 26 years ago. However, Brown feels he also aged a few years during the race, partly because of the incident between Piastri and Verstappen: "I think I'm still shaking after the first lap! I feel like I've just aged about 30 years since then. I feel like I'm going on about 26 years just been added to my life. Such an accomplishment so proud. Andrea has done such an unbelievable job with leading this team. Couldn't be happier."
