Horner already predicts winner of the '25 F1 season: 'Margins are small'
- Estéban den Toom
Christian Horner has identified the biggest winner in Formula 1 for the 2025 season. According to him, the new season will be an extremely exciting one. Max Verstappen won the world championship this year, but Red Bull did not score enough points for the constructors' championship this season, something that they succeeded in in 2023.
Horner was asked how big a challenge his Red Bull will face in 2025. The team boss thinks it will be exciting, as he previously indicated. "If you looked at points since the summer break until before this race, I think they were even (so Verstappen had a buffer, ed.), and Charles was maybe a little bit ahead in terms of individual points scored," he told several media outlets, including GPblog.
Horner says 2025 will be "massively close"
The Brit does know who the biggest winner will be in Formula 1, saying the sport itself will be the biggest winner: "You can see it's going to be massively close next year. You've got at least four teams that are going to be in contention in the last year of these regulations of winning Grand Prix. So I think the biggest winner will be Formula One next year," Horner explained.
"I think that it's going to be fine margins everywhere. Getting out of the blocks well is always imperative, but you can see it's such a long season that consistency will be key," concluded the team principal of Verstappen and Sergio Perez.
