Forbes has calculated and published the salaries of all the Formula 1 drivers on the grid for the 2024 season. The leading business magazine bases its calculations on financial documents, legal documents, and press releases and interviews with industry insiders. Like last year, Max Verstappen leads the way as the highest-paid driver on the grid.

The Red Bull Racing driver earned his fourth consecutive world title at the Las Vegas Grand Prix this year, showing why he is the best driver on the grid in F1 right now. And his salary shows that too, earning £58.5 million throughout the year, with £11.7 million of that money coming from win and title-winning bonuses.

£13 million behind the Dutchman is Lewis Hamilton who is second on the list, collecting just over £45.5 million throughout the season. The reason he is much further behind Verstappen? The Brit only took two race wins in 2024, meaning his bonuses were far smaller. The 39-year-old will be looking for more of that next year when he makes the huge move to Ferrari.

Speaking of Ferrari, they only came fifth on the list with their highest-paid driver, and that was Charles Leclerc, totalling just over £21 million. Rounding out the top three was Lando Norris, who never before earned so much in one season, mainly due to the excellent performances of himself and McLaren, earning the biggest bonus numbers out of everyone on the grid with just under £18 million. As a result, he earned £27.3 million. Also retired Fernando Alonso is still among the top four best-paid men on the grid.
