In early August, the Formula 1 circus travels to Hungary. The Hungaroring, the circuit near Budapest, capital of the European nation, has been thoroughly overhauled. Among other things, the paddock building is being renovated and there will be new facilities for the media. The circuit has shared photos of the work the track structure is undergoing.
Prior to this the main grandstand was modified, but currently the track facilities are undergoing a major overhaul, as can be seen in the images: one big area full of cranes and scaffolding. Everything should be ready for the Hungarian Grand Prix in 2025, though. The race in Hungary will be the last one before the teams and drivers go on their summer break in 2025 and will take place on the weekend of 1, 2 and 3 August.
"The landscape of the Hungaroring is changing by the day; the new paddock building is 'rising out of the ground'. The second floor is almost complete, and ticket sales indicate that we can expect a record number of visitors in 2025," the Hungaroring's account wrote as a caption to the photos on X.
