- Sandy van Wijngaarden
The 2024 was the longest season in F1's long history. With 24 events hosted all over the world, many were ready for a break from the competition finally. Red Bull team principal Christian Horner talked about his team's energy levels.
Red Bull Racing staff tired
The 2024 season was especially a long one for Red Bull Racing. After dominating early on similarly to 2023 thanks to Verstappen, later during the season, even the Dutchman experienced difficulties with the RB20. Verstappen could win his fourth title and was crowned champion in Las Vegas, however, the Austrians missed out on a third consecutive constructors' title to McLaren, and finished in P3 behind Ferrari as well.
"This has been the biggest season in full on history, 24 races, a tripleheader at the end, going from Las Vegas with a time difference and then to come to Qatar. Looking at the guys and girls in the garage they're feeling, it's a long tough year," Horner told Sky Sports about the longest ever season in F1.
The team principal also explained what is next for his team. "That's Formula One these days, but it's pretty grueling. And of course it's not a long off-season now, it's Christmas before you know it and then straight back in January," the Briton concluded.
