Verstappen expresses specific wish for RB21: 'It could be a bit different'

Red Bull Racing is known for changing the livery of the car very little, and especially in recent years, the livery has been almost identical to the year before. However, Max Verstappen thinks it is time for a change before 2025.
In the Talking Bull podcast, Max Verstappen looked back at his 2024 season. He did so in the team's factory, surrounded by old cars. In recent years, Red Bull's colour settings have been exactly the same, but for 2025, the Dutchman would like to see this changed.
Verstappen would like a shiny Red Bull again
"I am looking forward to seeing my own car, the livery," Verstappen said. "I hope it is a bit different. I was actually talking about it today, I actually really like these cars with the shiny colour. We have had so many matte blue cars that I think sometimes it is just nice to spice it up a little bit."
One of the problems Red Bull may then run into is that there will be extra weight on the car. In 2024, the Austrian racing stable could not use that extra weight and chose not to bring special liveries for Grands Prix. "It's a bit lighter," Verstappen said of the matte variant.
Still, Verstappen, like many fans, would like to see the livery a bit different for once. "Maybe the colour could be a little bit different," the four-time world champion concluded.
