Can Jos Verstappen see his son Max further improve? 'That's what matters'
At the Las Vegas GP in the 2024 season, Max Verstappen has won his fourth F1 world championship title. Could the Dutchman improve more, or has he reached the top of his game? Jos Verstappen, Max's father, answered that question to Viaplay.
Can Verstappen perform even better than this?
At the 2024 Sao Paulo GP, Max Verstappen put down a statement victory in the rain, and all but mathematically secured the title against Lando Norris. A Grand Prix later, the title was completely secured as well.
Looking back at last season, Jos Verstappen, Max's father and former F1 driver was asked whether the Dutch driver could still improve. "Well, you would say, isn’t it. I mean, he's definitely on his best [form]. And I don't know if there's more in it or not. I have no idea," Verstappen Sr. began.
In any case, the father of the four-time world champion is sure that his son performs when he needs to. "I mean, but it seems like, he's there when he needs to be there. He's strong on the crucial moments. So, and I think that's so important to do," Jos concluded.
