Red Bull recently presented Jurgen Klopp - successful football coach - as Head of Global Soccer. Max Verstappen described the arrival of the former Borussia Dortmund and Liverpool coach "amazing" and Helmut Marko is no less enthusiastic. According to the 81-year-old Red Bull Racing advisor, the brand could not have made a better move.

'Sensational' and 'great' is how Helmut Marko describes the recruitment of Klopp in an interview with sport.de: "After all, Red Bull has a club in Germany, two in Austria, one in England, one in Japan and one in Brazil. He is [an] exceptional coach and also a great motivator," hailed Marko the German coach's arrival to Red Bull's football program.

Klopp will become the international Red Bull's football network's strategic advisor, in charge of supporting Sport Directors and strengthening the Red Bull philosophy within the teams. He will also contribute to tasks such as global scouting and coach development within the organisation, so his role will certainly have profound depth and a particularly comprehensive reach.

Marko, being aware of Klopp's role, he is very curious to see how the German will fare. "I just don't know how he intends to combine all these different continents and other challenges. But because football plays a very important role with us, I think this is the best move we could make," the Austrian said.

Verstappen also enthusiastic

In October, Klopp's arrival was announced by Red Bull. During the F1 weekend in Austin, Verstappen - himself a football fan - was also asked about Red Bull's signing of the German football champion by Sky Sports.

"I knew for a long time already that they were talking and that it was close to being signed. I think it's great. Red Bull are investing a lot in, also in football. With the teams they have already, there's a lot of talent which has come through already. With someone like Jurgen in charge from the top, he has a lot of experience and has managed a lot of clubs. It's great for the organisation," the now four-time world champion said at the time.
