The changes continue to come at Aston Martin. After signing the likes of Adrian Newey and Enrico Cardile to help spearhead their way to try and challenge at the front of the grid, there has been a 'restructuring of its senior management team' before the 2025 season gets underway in March, with a change made at team principal for the British team as Mike Krack is replaced.

Changes made to Aston Martin's top team

At the top of the Lawrence Stroll-owned team, the team principal role has been taken by the CEO of the British team, Andy Cowell. In the press release from Aston Martin, it also announces that the "team's Aerodynamics, Engineering and Performance Departments have evolved to become separate", with both aspects of the team reporting to Cowell from today as he takes charge of the team.

Krack will stay at the British team despite being replaced, as he will now take up the role of Chief Trackside Officer. After a hugely disappointing 2024 season with Krack at the helm, the decision has been made for Aston Martin to have a new team leader as they look to return to the success of 2023.

New Chief Technical Officer Cardile will now "oversee the architecture, design and build of new race cars", while Tom McCullough will remain with Aston Martin to take up a leadership position.

New CEO and team principal Cowell said: "I have spent the last three months understanding and assessing our performance, and I've been incredibly impressed by the dedication, commitment and hard work of this team. With the completion of the AMR Technology Campus and our transition in 2026 to a full works team, alongside our strategic partners Honda and Aramco, we are on a journey to becoming a Championship-winning team. These organisational changes are a natural evolution of the multi-year plans that we have scheduled to make and I'm incredibly excited about the future."
