Prema, renowned F1 training team, contracts Romain Grosjean
- Savannah Lenz
Former Formula 1 driver Romain Grosjean has taken on a new challenge for 2025. He will be joining Prema.
Prema has started their 2025 off by entering a new series. Now Prema is a part of the IndyCar series. In their current lineup for IndyCar, they have Callum Ilott and the former Ferrari reserve driver Robert Shwartzman. The two will be the full-time drivers for Prema during the 2025 season.
Grosjean did not find a permanent seat in IndyCar
On Friday evening, Prema announced that Romain Grosjean would also be joining the IndyCar family. Grosjean will be a reserve driver for them. After failing to secure a seat for 2025, this allows him to remain in the series and close to a team. Should Ilott or Shwartzman not meet the team's expectations, Prema could decide to promote Grosjean, who has a fanbase within the United States.

Currently, Grosjean will remain active in IMSA, the American counterpart of the World Endurance Championship WEC. He will drive the 24 of Daytona with another former F1 driver, Daniil Kvyat and others.
