Max Verstappen and Kelly Piquet are expecting their first child in a few months' time. For Verstappen, it will be his first child, but Piquet already has a daughter. There is one aspect of parenting that Kelly finds very important.

During the last F1 weekend of last season, Max Verstappen and Kelly Piquet announced that they are expecting their first child. Piquet already has one child, Penelope, from a previous relationship with Daniil Kvyat.

On Instagram, Piquet shared a video showing children who used to all play outside and are now just inside watching screens. The Brazilian is not happy with this development.

Kelly Piquet thinks this aspect is important in parenting

"I take pride in the fact that my P looks at the iPad minimally and is much more playful and creative. I get so frustrated when I see parents giving phones and tablets to their children at every opportunity without even trying to find alternatives. We all grew up without them, so it is possible to limit screen time," Piquet wrote with the shared video.

So the Brazilian is a fan of raising children without too much screen time. Approximately in March, Verstappen and Piquet's baby will be born together. The couple announced they were expecting in December, but on Instagram, Piquet revealed she was already in the third trimester.

Chances are that Verstappen and Piquet already know the sex of the baby. This has not yet been announced to the outside world. Coming up with a name is not going so well so far. The Brazilian has revealed that the baby does not yet have a name. The couple themselves know whether it will have to be a boy's or a girl's name.

The baby's birth could just about coincide with the first Grand Prix of 2025. From 14 to 16 March, F1 will visit Australia. So it is hoped for Verstappen that he will not be so far from home in times of childbirth. Two weeks before that, F1's winter testing takes place in Bahrain.
