Formula 1 drivers experience high levels of G forces which they have to train their necks against. Fernando Alonso is one of those drivers. He recently took to social media to show off his pre-season training and his 'gains'. One specific picture caught the eye of many fans. His neck.
Alonso was pictured with his head leaning on an exercise ball again, showing off his neck muscles. He posted the picture to his social media account on Instagram. His neck muscles made his neck appear wider than his head in the photo. Judging by the fan's reactions, many found this impressive. Alonso wrote "Empezando," as his caption, which means "starting'.
The official Formula 1 account also responded to Alonso's post. "That neck is big enough to carry Aston Martin F1 for 2025." In 2024, Alonso scored 70 out of the 94 points collected by the team. Formula 1's funny jab at Alonso was the most liked response under his post.
Alonso will be gracing the F1 grid with his impressive neck and driving skills for two more years as he has signed a contract extension until 2026. He will continue to drive alongside Lance Stroll.
