Ferrari prepares for Hamilton's first test as hundreds watch history unfold

On Wednesday, Lewis Hamilton's long-anticipated first Ferrari test is set to take place. The 40-year-old Briton will drive a red F1 car for the first time at the Fiorano circuit. Social media posts reveal Ferrari's preparations for the car ahead of the test. Hundreds of fans have also waited many hours to catch a glimpse of their new hero on track today.
Ferrari prepares for Hamilton's first test
On Monday, Lewis Hamilton made his first visit to Maranello as a Ferrari driver. On Wednesday, he and possibly teammate Charles Leclerc will take to the Fiorano circuit, driving previous Scuderia models: the 2022 F1-75 and the 2023 SF-23.
Photos of Ferrari's preparations for Lewis Hamilton's first test have surfaced on social media, showing mechanics working on the cars in the garage. Hamilton will also participate in a TPC (testing previous car) session in Barcelona before he and Charles Leclerc take their first laps in the 2025 car.
Dedicated fans gathered early at Fiorano to secure prime viewing spots for Lewis Hamilton's first Ferrari test. Photos on social media reveal that some arrived as early as 5 a.m., braving the pre-dawn fog. By the time the sun began to rise, hundreds of fans and photographers were already lined up around the circuit, eager to witness the historic moment.
