Lewis Hamilton has now driven his first laps in a Ferrari. Since the blockbuster move came that saw the Brit move from Mercedes, where he had been since 2013, to the Scuderia for the 2025 season, only thoughts and AI pictures could allow us to see what the seven-time world champion would look like in the iconic red race suit and car. But now, that has become a reality after completing his first test, which you can watch below, along with his first team radio message.

Hamilton made his first appearance as a Ferrari driver in Maranello last Monday, and the day after, the 40-year-old drove his first 30 laps on the Fiorano circuit. The Brit took part in a Test Previous Car (TPC) test, meaning he was not driving the new car for the upcoming season - which will be unveiled at a later stage - but was behind the wheel of the SF-23, the car from the 2023 season. The Prancing Horse made a video of Hamilton's first lap in the red car.

During his first lap for his new team, they immediately conducted a radio check, with Hamilton responding enthusiastically over the radio with a: "Whew!" It is now also known when the 40-year-old driver will test again in a Ferrari, with another test happening next month, the team has confirmed to GPblog. Teammate Charles Leclerc will then also be there again on behalf of Ferrari.

In addition, news emerged last week that Hamilton will once again team up with physiotherapist and friend Angela Cullen. She was his regular right-hand man in the paddock for many years, but the two parted ways in 2023. Now, they have since reunited.
