Bottas returns with a podium in Australia, girlfriend Cromwell takes gold
Valtteri Bottas doesn't stop racing, albeit in a different sport. In his second home, Australia, the Finnish driver competed in his first gravel cycling event of the year, and already finished on the podium.
After not finding a permanent seat for the 2025 season, Valtteri Bottas will become his former team's, Mercedes' third driver in Formula One. Having previously started to participate in cycling competitions, the Finn continued to do that in the off-season in Australia.
Taking part in the RADL GRVL '25, Bottas finished third in his age group, finishing only 2:40 behind the winner. The driver's girlfriend, Tiffany Cromwall, could also bring home some silverware, as she won the Pro Women's race.
On social media, Bottas wrote: "You beauty! First gravel race of ‘25. Thank you so much for everyone involved to make this event come together, lots of hard workers behind the scenes, example all the volunteers. And well done, and thank you for everyone attending! Tomorrow we sausage sizzle."
