'Evo Sessions' will feature 11 celebrities from the worlds of sports, technology and entertainment, Formula E have announced. The celebrities will participate in an intensive training session to experience what it's like to be a Formule E driver. Manchester City legend Sergio Agüero and David Beckham's son, Brooklyn, will also feature in this challenge.

A six week training session awaits the six drivers already announced for the series, including sitting in the sim, physical training, driving lessons and technical briefings. A special event will then take place on March 5 and 6 in Miami, and a documentary will be released later this year.

Dodds and Beckham on the Formula E programme

Jeff Dodds, the CEO of Formula E, explained the choice of this programme. "The initial reaction when I presented the concept of ‘Evo Sessions’ to our teams and partners was, ‘this is wild!’ - which is when I immediately knew we had to bring it to life. We wanted to do something that has never been done before in motorsport; something that would give audiences and our fan base a unique perspective into the world of a Formula E driver, through the eyes of some of their favourite online personalities," the Formula E CEO explained.

Brooklyn Beckham did not think twice about joining. "I’ve loved motorsport all my life, so when the opportunity came to be a part of Evo Sessions with Formula E, I jumped at the chance. I love it as a sport, but it’s an incredible opportunity to actually get behind the wheel and experience what it takes to compete at the top level of motorsport. The performance of the cars is insane, so I’m pleased I’ll be learning from the best in how to get the most out of them," David Beckham's son said about his next adventure. His mother, Victoria Beckham could also call Christian Horner's wife, Geri Horner Holliwell, about racing, as the two sang together on the Spice Girls.

Agüero also takes part in the programme

The striker who previously played for Atlético Madrid, Manchester City and Atletico Madrid will also take part in 'Evo Sessions'. Agüero, who previously played for the Argentinian national team, might be already getting some tips as well, as today, he posted a picture with Franco Colapinto.
