After Ferrari, Williams also took to the track at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya for a TPC (testing previous cars) session. Alexander Albon and his new teammate, Carlos Sainz, took turns driving the FW45, gaining valuable track time ahead of the 2025 F1 season.

Several teams are conducting TPC tests during this period, partly to evaluate the new Pirelli compounds for 2026. For Williams, however, this is a private test aimed at giving Carlos Sainz and Alexander Albon the best possible preparation for the upcoming season.

The team shared images of the test on social media but revealed little else, keeping details such as lap counts and the duration of the test under wraps. What is certain, though, is that both drivers hit the track—and they’ve already been given a new nickname as a duo.

Williams will unveil the new 2025 car before the joint launch at the O2 Arena in London. On February 14, the team will pull the curtain off the FW47, which will feature a special, one-off livery. The actual livery that will be used next season will be unveiled at the F1 75 event.

A few days ago, Ferrari took to the track at the Spanish circuit. For Hamilton, it marked his second test with Ferrari. However, on the second day, the seven-time world champion crashed, damaging the car. Fortunately, Hamilton was unharmed, but this meant that Leclerc's afternoon test session was cancelled.
