F1 Today | F1 Rookie documentary, Formula E gets magical and Mercedes releases merch!
- Savannah Lenz
Not only has Formula 1 made some exciting announcements, but today, Formula E released news about a specific actor! Alongside news releases, Mercedes has also decided to release something new, and that is merchandise with their new partner, Adidas. That is not the only thing that is new, however; F1 has 5 new rookies, all of which are featured in a new documentary.
The 'Future Five'
After having no rookies join the grid at the beginning of the 2024 season, we are now having an influx of rookies headed to Formula 1! Five new rookies are set to hit the grid at the Australian Grand Prix. While some of them, like Oliver Bearman and Jack Doohan, have F1 race weekend experience, for many, this will be their first time on the grid as an F1 driver. The new documentary follows the five rookies before the season starts.

Magical Driving in the World of Formula E
During their Formula EVO sessions, Formula E has invited Harry Potter actor Tom Felton to drive for them in March. The actor will take part in a six-week training course before hitting the track at the Miami International Autodrome on 5-6 March 2025. Felton said, “Nothing could compare to the excitement I have to actually be seated in the driver’s seat of arguably the most exciting vehicle on four wheels on the planet. I know it needs a fifth wheel to steer and I am beyond thrilled to be given the opportunity to do so."
Mercedes collaborates with Adidas
Mercedes announced their collaboration with Adidas a while back, but now, fans can finally see what the merchandise will look like. The team revealed both their team kit and fan outfits today in their official launch. One of the biggest changes from last year is the addition of the Adidas stripes and also the lack of Lewis Hamilton. Instead, Andrea Kimi Antonelli resides beside George Russell.
