Before the beginning of a new Formula 1 season, Netflix usually releases a new season of its 'Drive to Survive' series. This year, the new season will be released only a week before the 2025 F1 season starts.
Drive to Survive is a series about Formula 1 that offers a look behind the scenes of the racing series. While the show focuses on the drivers and the Grand Prix weekends, it is often heavily dramatized, and it takes situations out of context.
Drive to Survive's Netflix release date
The show is allowed to film in the F1 paddock, which allows fans to get a glimpse into areas they might not have been able to before. Throughout the 2024 season, the filming crew was often present and filming for their newest season which releases on 7 March.

The 2024 F1 season had many tumultuous moments. For example, Max Verstappen and Lando Norris's many battles for P1. Lewis Hamilton's first victory in over two years at his home race of Silverstone or Charles Leclerc's at Monaco are two other examples of exciting moments that happened over the 2024 season.
Netflix has already been in the news recently as they were hoping to take over the broadcasting rights of Formula 1 in the United States. ESPN currently holds the rights which were purchased for $90 million.
