Mercedes talent Antonelli learns from everyone: 'I am privileged'

Andrea Kimi Antonelli is set to make his full-time Formula One debut just over in a month's time with Mercedes. The Italian youngster has enormous confidence in the team, and as a rookie, he explained what he could already learn from his teammate George Russell and the German's third driver, Valtteri Bottas.

"I will try to make the best of it all. I have the full trust in the team. This chance to go racing is not one that happens every day. I feel very privileged. I am very happy to be with George. He has already shown what he can do and I can learn so much from him. Then you have Valtteri and his experience. I am really keen to learn from them both. They can both push me further," Antonelli said, the team report.

Antonelli on his relationship with Toto Wolff

Antonelli shared he also has a great relationship with with team principal Toto Wolff. "I have known Toto since 2018 and we have a really good relationship. He has always tried to teach me and guide me in the right direction," the Italian explained, how the Austrian helps him.

Antonelli will be paired with George Russell at Mercedes, as the Briton will be the team's senior driver after Lewis Hamilton completed his blockbuster transfer to Ferrari. While Wolff tries to take care of the youngster as much as possible, he is very excited to see how he performs in the current year, as the team principal previously said that preparations are going well.
