The annual Race of Champions is scheduled for 8 and 9 of March, a week before the Australian Grand Prix. Many big names from Formula 1 will make an appearance at the event.

Some familiar faces from F1 taking part in the race include Sebastian Vettel, David Coulthard, Valtteri Bottas, Mick Schumacher, and Heikki Kovalainen. Mika Hakkinen also often competed in the race but will not be in action this year. Thus, Finland will be represented by Kovalainen and Bottas, the latest additions to the entry list. Vettel and Schumacher will come out for Germany.
The 33rd edition of the Race of Champions will feature drivers from all kinds of racing classes. In addition to F1, drivers from World Rallying, Supercars, Rallycross, NASCAR, Extreme E, and Dakar will compete. Sydney's Accor Stadium will be transformed into a one-kilometre-long two-lane circuit, especially for the race, where drivers from different countries will compete directly against each other.
"Race Of Champions reminds all of us who have been lucky enough to take part in the event why we first started racing," Coulthard said of the event. "It’s pure competition on track and an amazing camaraderie outside the cars.
"The competition is as tough as it gets and everyone wants to win, but once we finish racing the atmosphere is amazing between all us drivers from different series and generations. Even since I retired from full-time racing, I still do a fair bit of driving, notably showcasing the Red Bull F1 Car around the world," added the 53-year-old Scot. Coulthard hopes to win his third Champion of Champions title in the Australian city.
