Breaking away from its long tradition, the Monaco Grand Prix has added a new partner to the mix. Now, the iconic race will get a title sponsor.

That the Monaco Grand Prix is one of, perhaps the most iconic race on the Formula 1 calendar is no secret. During almost every season, the classic race has been on the calendar. In addition, it is part of the unofficial 'Triple Crown', along with the Indy500 and the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Graham Hill is the only driver who managed to win all three races.

The Monaco Grand Prix has a long and iconic history on the Formula 1 calendar. It has been featured on the F1 calendar almost every season and is a part of the unofficial 'Triple Crown' alongside two other iconic races: the Indy500 and 24 Hours of Le Mans. There is only one driver in all three sports' histories that has managed to win them all. That is former F1 driver Graham Hill.

TAG Heuer new title sponsor Grand Prix of Monaco

Throughout its illustrious history, the Grand Prix has never had a title sponsor; however, during the 2025 Formula 1 season, that will change. TAG Heuer has announced that it will be the official title sponsor of the Monte Carlo-based race. The new title is 'FORMULA 1 TAG HEUER GRAND PRIX DE MONACO'.

Domenicali on title sponsor GP Monaco

Formula 1 President and CEO Stefano Domenicali is looking forward to the addition and is happy with TAG Heuer joining in. He said, “This is a truly fantastic moment in Formula 1 history as TAG Heuer becomes the first-ever Title Partner of the Grand Prix de Monaco, a circuit that featured in the sport’s very first season in 1950, and with which we mark our 75th anniversary this year. TAG Heuer is the perfect partner – not only do they already have a brilliant legacy with Monaco, but I know they will bring their passion, creativity, and exceptional style to match the wonderful energy of an already iconic event.”

The CEO of TAG Heuer, Antoine Pin, said, “Monaco is truly our spiritual home, encapsulating much of what we stand for at TAG Heuer. The spirit of competition, the challenging street course that rewards those who show the greatest mental resilience and physical strength, a place where drivers push themselves to achieve their absolute best, we are honoured and delighted to renew our partnership with the Automobile Club de Monaco and extend our activities in the Principality with TAG Heuer being the first to hold this prestigious title.”

TAG Heuer was previously announced to replace Rolex as the official timekeeper of Formula 1 for the next 10 years. TAG Heuer is a part of the LVMH luxury group, which is working closely with Formula 1 this season.
