It is generally known that Max Verstappen is critical of some of the new initiatives taken on by Formula 1's management. But which aspect would he most like to change about the sport? The Dutchman answered that question in conversation with GPblog and other select media.

Last year, Verstappen was highly critical of the FIA's handling of the matter pertaining the drivers' use of 'inappropriate language'. In protest, the Dutchman decided not to give elaborate answers during the governing body's Singapore Grand Prix's press conferences. But there are several more things about the sport the four-time world champion disagrees with, such as the sprint format and the amount of races in the F1 calendar.

Verstappen would change this Formula One rule

In London, ahead of the F1 75 Live event, Verstappen was asked which Formula 1 rule he would change first, should he have the power to do so. The Red Bull Racing driver was clear, "Less races."

Elaborating further on his choice he went on to say: "It’s too many. I think we're travelling quite a lot. Less races, that's what I would start with. There are a lot of things that can be changed. Also, you have to understand from the commercial side. I'm looking at it from a pure driver perspective."

During the same media session, the new regulations around the FIA's conduct guidelines and the punishment were they to be breached, were also discussed. Nevertheless, Verstappen chose to keep his thoughts on the matter close to the chest, but not bedore stressing that the rules would affect the length of the answers he will give during press conferences in the future.
