Formula 1 held its first ever Live event on Tuesday night where all the teams launched their cars: F1 75 Live. It proved to be a great success online, as a total of nearly 7.5 million people are said to have watched the event on social media alone.

F1 75 was organised to celebrate Formula 1's 75th anniversary in grand fashion. At the event, all teams unveiled their liveries with which they will appear on the track in the coming season. In total, more than 20,000 people attended the O2 Arena in London, where the event took place.

During the event, there were a number of striking moments. For instance, loud boos rang out from the audience when the FIA was thanked in the show's broadcast. Also, Gordon Ramsay could not hold back when confronted with the question about what he thinks of the new rules around swearing, mouthing the word 'shit' himself. There was also a negative aura surrounding the unveiling of the RB21, Red Bull's 2025 challenger. For instance, Christian Horner and Max Verstappen were booed by the British public.

Bizarrely high number of viewers for F1 75

All in all, the F1 75 event was still a great success for Formula One Management. Indeed, Formula One's organisers reported that there were nearly 7.5 million viewers over the entire evening through social media alone. At the peak of the show, 1.2 million people watched the event online. In addition, the show was also broadcast on 42 sports channels in 37 different countries, so total viewership figures were likely a lot more.
