Kelly Piquet is an exceptionally powerful woman. Never one to show she is uncomfortable in her skin, she is ever strong and loyal at Max Verstappen's side. But the F1 world champion's girlfriend's life is not all rainbows and roses either.

In the past, Piquet has hinted at health problems. On Instagram this weekend, she revealed what was going on. The Brazilian supermodel said she got covid in early 2022, from which she continue to suffer for a year.

"I was ill every 6 weeks and would never fully recover. Also my anemia (which I've had since a teenager) got even worse which then heavily affected my hair loss," Piquet wrote. "It wasn't until a few months into 2023 that I felt like I was back to myself. Healing takes time and dedication, there are no quick fixes."

As we all know, life is currently shining on Kelly again. She is happily expecting Verstappen's baby, so Penelope will soon have a sibling. When Piquet is due is still speculation.
