Ferrari set to dominate, Leclerc: 'Not happy with the balance yet'

Ferrari set to dominate, Leclerc: 'More performance to be found'

Charles Leclerc can look back with satisfaction on Friday ahead of the Australian Grand Prix. The Ferrari driver closed the second free practice of the season as fastest, explaining that there is still some work to do for the team. Still, overall he looks back on a pretty positive day in Melbourne. According to him, the car felt much better than during testing in Bahrain.

Leclerc warns: 'We are in a better position than in Bahrain!'

"The feeling in the car was good and we had a solid first day on track. There is still some margin for improvement in terms of the balance, which is the same for everyone across the paddock, given that these cars are still pretty new to all of us and we have to push to understand their limits," Leclerc explained in Ferrari's press release.

However, the Monegasque, though aware that it's only Friday, seemed a bit more daring, and highlights that Ferrari should go big on Saturday. "It’s too early to come to any conclusions. We will only get a first idea of the respective pace of all the teams in qualifying. All in all, it was a good day and we look forward to tomorrow, when we want to target pole position."
