Aston Martin takes major step: Will this be the deal-maker with Verstappen?
F1 News

These are important weeks for Aston Martin, weeks that will determine the future of the British team. On the first working day of the month, Adrian Newey started work at Fernando Alonso and Lance Stroll's team and on the eve of the Australian Grand Prix, the state-of-the-art wind tunnel was used for the first time.
The importance of an excellent wind tunnel cannot be underestimated in today's Formula 1. With its new facilities, Aston Martin is taking a tremendous step forward, one that Red Bull Racing must be looking at with some envy. The Austrian team works with an outdated wind tunnel from the World War II era, which is not to be replaced for some time yet.
Aston Martin thus has a significant advantage over Max Verstappen's team, the very driver at the top of the green outfit's wish list. With the earlier acquisition of Newey and now the modern wind tunnel, Aston Martin is increasingly showing that it's on its way to the top.
Aston Martin dreams aloud of the titles
The wind tunnel will be used to further improve the AMR25, but a bigger focus is on working towards bulting a strong car for 2026 - the car that Newey is also emphatically working on. In any case - so says Aston Martin - the wind tunnel marks an important step for the team towards a future in which it can compete for championships.
