Horner looks forward to the Chinese GP: 'The first representative race'
McLaren was the dominant team during the Australian Grand Prix. Not only do they have a strong car, but they also managed their tyres the best. However, Christian Horner does not want to draw any conclusions about the pecking order in F1 just yet.
The fact remains though: McLaren was significantly better than Red Bull Racing in Australia. However, the Austrian team's principal, Horner, does not see that status quo stretching beyond the confines of Melbourne. "Don't read too much into that because this track is quite unique", the Red Bull Racing team principal told GPblog and others.
Horner won't draw conclusions until after China
He says the next Grand Prix will give more clarity on the hierarchy in F1. "Actually China is probably going to be the first circuit. Bahrain is unusual because of the track surface there. This circuit is pretty unique."
"China is the first representative race circuit of quite a few of the venues coming up and so it'll be fascinating to see how the car performs there," Horner said.
The Chinese Grand Prix is scheduled for this weekend.
