After rainy weather caused a very hectic Australian Grand Prix, the Formula 1 calendar moves on to Shanghai for the 2025 Chinese Grand Prix. At the first race of the season, Lando Norris took the championship lead away from Max Verstappen after over 1,000 days of Verstappen leading the world drivers championship. Will Norris be able to keep that league? Or will the weather affect his race?

This is the weather for the 2025 Chinese Grand Prix:

The 2025 Chinese Grand Prix will take place at the Shanghai International Circuit in Shanghai, China. As this race weekend is a sprint race weekend, there will be only one free practice session. The sprint race will happen on Saturday, 22 March, at 11 A.M. local time, or 3 A.M. GMT. The feature race will take place on Sunday, 23 March, at 3 P.M. local time, or 7 A.M. GMT.

As of right now, the radar shows a high of 24 and a low of 11. The sessions being held on Friday are FP1 and Sprint qualifying.

On Saturday, the high will be 25, with a low of 12. The day is expected to be sunny with clear skies. The sprint race will kick off on Saturday, and then the drivers will complete a qualifying session for the feature race.

The sky will be slightly darker on race day, as the day is already being described as “partly cloudy.” Fortunately for fans, there is no predicted rain. The temperature will still be high, as the current prediction is 26 at the start with a decrease of only one to two degrees during the race.

Could there be a repeat of Melbourne?

It is not likely that there will be rain at any time over the race weekend. The chance of rain for all three days currently shows at zero percent for all three days. With the weather looking to be bright and sunny, and Shanghai being the first circuit race of the season, will this race show us more in terms of championship standing than the Australian Grand Prix did?
