Norris secretive about McLaren improvements: 'Not something I need to share
Lando Norris admits that McLaren have done a lot of work over the last winter break to continue their success from 2024 into the new season. When asked what exactly the team has been focusing on, the British driver kept his lips tightly sealed.
For the first time in his career, Norris was involved in the battle for the World Championship in 2024, though he was not able to beat Max Verstappen to the title. He did, however, still have a very successful season with his team as they achieved the Constructors' Championship, keeping the title away from Ferrari. Norris and his team at McLaren have put in a huge amount of work over the past winter break in the hope of capturing both titles this year.
McLaren has made great strides
Exactly what has been improved at the McLaren headquarters in Woking is being kept behind closed doors for now. "That’s for us. That’s not something I need to share." Norris told the media, including GPblog, after the race when asked what exactly the team has done to get ready for the 2025 Formula One season. "The team works very hard to improve. Strategy engineers, mechanics. I don’t need to say these things to the media."
"I let them do their job.," he continued. "It’s the same as when I work hard to improve in areas I do. Some things I say, some I don’t. People spend a lot of time, they dedicate their lives to this. I’m not going to give away how people work and improve to be the best in their sport or job."
