It is well-known that Red Bull team principal Christian Horner and Mercedes team principal Toto Wolff are not the best friends on the F1 grid. McLaren CEO Zak Brown also sees little in common with the Briton, something the Red Bull man also reciprocated in the latest series of Drive to Survive.

One of the scenes shows Horner calling the American a 'prick'. That was not what Horner said to begin with, instead, he used the word 'c*nt' to express his feelings. However, that was carefully changed by the editors of the series, as reportedly, it was not appropriate for the viewers to hear.

The series is known for following narratives instead of representing the truth, as happened to Max Verstappen in the episode called 'Frenemies'. There, the Dutchman was portrayed as a sore loser, and edits from the Dutch GP made the final cut. The driver later questioned that decision himself, saying that he didn't know he was disappointed at last year's Miami Grand Prix.

However, McLaren CEO Zak Brown underlined that the resentment between him and Horner is not staged at all.

Brown and Horner not exactly on the same page

"Oh, it's genuine," Brown begins to The Telegraph. "There’s no love lost there. I don’t like how he rolls and no doubt he feels the same about me."

Similarly to how he previously had no issues with the booing at the F1 75 event, Brown thinks this is part of sports, and F1 benefits from that. "You need different characters. You need these rivalries. Some are friendly, sporting rivalries. Some are a bit more vicious. It’s always been like that," he concluded.

The duo will be present together on Friday at the official FIA press conference for team representatives. Alpine team principal Oliver Oakes will join Horner and Brown in between the only practice session and sprint qualifying in China.
